I think the Wysong CE program is awesome and innovative - I don't know of any other company that rewards their customers with $$$ towards their products just for becoming smarter (might even allow me to try some of your "people" products that caught my eye-instead of just ferret stuff). It FINALLY forced me to take the time to REALLY read through (instead of a quick scan) a lot of the great information on your website and because of it, I now know more and am an even smarter ferret mom:) I'm starting to sound like a sales rep for your company…I found many of the topics on debunking-myths to be absolutely fascinating. Corn and grains, as you discussed, have become the "bad ingredients" when that isn't necessarily the case. This has always been an issue for me as ferrets cannot digest plant material because they don't have a cecum - yet all pet foods (except Wysong Archetype 1) are chock full of grain - no doubt as a binding agent to make those cute little shapes that inevitably get caught between the top teeth and stick to the roof of the mouth…Vets try to scare people from even trying an at-home/natural diet with scare tactics that "lack of knowledge" will lead to salmonella, rickets, etc…I try to feed my 6 ferrets as naturally as possible. Unfortunately, my current living situation prevents me from providing whole prey but they get a second best of a variety of chunked/whole RMBs, organs, etc. They just love the Archetype I and the new Beef/Chicken/Pheasant Dream Treats.
