Ingredients

Apple
A source of many phytonutrients, antioxidants and fiber. Contains notable quantities of vitamin C, beta-carotene and B-complex vitamins.
Apple Pectin
A high fiber, antioxidant-rich ingredient derived from apples.
Beets
A root vegetable that is recognized for its nutritional value for the liver and cardiovascular system. A source of carotenoids and antioxidants.
Dried Plain Beet Pulp
Wrongfully recognized as a "filler" or source of sugar in pet foods, beet pulp contains excellent fiber and galacto-oligosaccharides that exert a prebiotic effect. Additionally, the pulp contains ferulic, gentisic, and p-Coumaric phenolic acids.
Bentonite
A natural mineral clay that aids in the formation and binding of the kibble, and also serves to adsorb toxins.
Blueberry
A source of many nutrients and fiber, with high levels of antioxidants.
Brown Rice
A nutritious source of vitamins, minerals, tocotrienols, and fiber. Carbohydrate and starch sources such as brown rice are not a necessary component of a companion animal's diet, but they can be fed in moderation and variety without ill effects and with nutritional benefits. Calcium Carbonate
Calcium in a natural form to help balance the phosphorus levels in meats. Calcium is crucial to bones, teeth, and metabolic processes.
Calcium Propionate
A preservative.
Carrots
Carrots contain in beta-carotene, a powerful antioxidant, other carotenoids and potassium which are helpful in proper blood-sugar regulation. Carrots promote HDL (good cholesterol), and help to balance the acid-alkaline body ratio.
Celery
A healthy vegetable containing riboflavin, vitamin B6, pantothenic acid, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. Celery is also a very good source of dietary fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, potassium and manganese.
Cheese
A blend of healthful, protein, vitamin, and mineral-rich cheeses, that also exert beneficial dental effects.
Chia Seeds
An excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids important to cardiovascular, immune, anti-inflammatory, and neurological functions. Chia seeds may also aid in maintaining proper weight and cholesterol levels. Chia seeds provide natural sources of fiber, antioxidants, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and manganese.
Chicken
Chicken meat sourced from U.S. suppliers. An excellent holistic source of protein, amino acids, and essential fatty acids.
Chicken Cartilage
Cartilage is a source of glucosamine and chondroitin.  Chondroitin in food provides building blocks for and gives elasticity to cartilage. Glucosamine also occurs naturally in cartilage and joints helping to cushion them and ease mobility.  Glucosamine also helps the nutriture of all connective tissue, tendons, and ligaments.
Chicken Fat
High quality, naturally preserved, and a source of essential linoleic acid and fat soluble vitamins.
Chicken Meal
Consisting of ground flesh (chicken meat), skin, and some bone, and exclusive of feathers, heads, feet and entrails. It is very digestible protein and contains chelated minerals and bone and joint nourishing proteoglycans. Chicken meal differs from fresh/frozen chicken in that the moisture has been removed. It therefore permits a more concentrated and dense quantity of meat and protein.
Choline Chloride
Choline is a B-complex vitamin which helps to build cell membranes, promote nerve function, and maintain normal growth.  Choline also plays a significant role in fat metabolism, liver regulation, and renal protection.
Chondroitin Sulfate
As animals age, natural chondroitin production slows. Typical activity begins to wear and tear on cartilage and joints because the chondroitin necessary for recovery is diminished. Consuming chondroitin restores adequate levels, encourages the restoration of cartilage, and the lubrication of joints.
Citric Acid
Acts as a natural preservative by chelating oxidizing minerals.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural source of short chain fatty acids.  It exerts beneficial effects on cholesterol, thyroid hormone, and blood sugar levels, and improve immune function. Coconut oil in a special Wysong processing step helps protect long-chain unsaturated fats (omega-3 and 6) from oxidation.
Colostrum
Colostrum is a pre-milk that is produced from the mammary glands just prior to giving birth. Colostrum is a rich source of protein, nutritious fatty acids, globulins, growth factors, vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, calcium, sodium, magnesium, and zinc.and provides high energy to growing animals.
Corn

Corn Protein
Corn protein is obtained by removal of the starch, germ, and bran layers of whole corn.  Corn protein is highly digestible and low in ash content.
Crab Meal
An excellent source of protein that is naturally rich in chitosan.
Cranberry
A powerful source of antioxidants and antimicrobials.
D-Ribose
Ribose is present in raw meats (particularly red), but like many nutrients is lost during typical pet food processing. Ribose has been shown to boost the level of ATP in the heart, thus strengthening its output and function.
Dicalcium Phosphate
Dicalcium phosphate is a source of calcium and phosphorus with high bioavailability.  Calcium and phosphorus are essential for healthy bone and teeth formation.  They also play vital roles in blood metabolism, muscle contraction, and nerve function.
DL-Methionine
DL-methionine is an essential amino acid, meaning the body does not produce it and it therefore must be provided through the diet.  It contains sulfur and serves as a building block for producing proteins.  It also helps naturally acidify urine.  It is essential to both cats and dogs, but cats exhibit a higher demand for this amino acid.
Dried Apple Pectin Pulp
A high fiber, antioxidant-rich ingredient derived from apples.
Organic Barley Grass Powder
Harvested before the first joint rises above ground, this grass contains a wealth of bioavailable nutrients including enzymes, vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids.
Chicory Root

Enzymes
Enzymes are naturally occurring in raw foods, but are lost through traditional food manufacturing and heat processing. Without enzymes, the digestive burden is placed wholly on the body. L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid, meaning the body does not produce it and it must be provided through the diet.   It serves as a building block for protein production and nitrogen balance.  It is best known for maintaining nerve cell conduction, relaxation, restfulness, and sleep.

A dairy protein that has antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties.
L-Carnitine

Potato Protein
Potato protein is potato minus the starch. It is one of the highest value vegetable proteins there is.
Probiotics
Probiotic microorganisms exert a number of benefits including improving intestinal microbial balance, enzyme and vitamin production, and immune system health. Saccharomyces Cerevisiae
Live yeast culture that exerts both prebiotic and probiotic effects (synbiotic) and also contains protein, fiber, B vitamins, and folic acid.
Salt
Not standard, refined table salt. Wysong whole salt is mined from ancient trace mineral rich geological deposits.
Sesame Seeds
Are particularly rich in the amino acid methionine. They also contain B-complex vitamins, protein, essential fatty acids, and essential minerals such as calcium, iron, copper, magnesium, manganese, selenium, and zinc. 
Soybeans
Soybeans are a well balanced source of protein, fat, and carbohydrates.  They provide a balanced amino acid profile and polyunsaturated fats.  Soybeans also contain minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, and zinc.

Spinach

Taurine
An essential amino acid for cats and arguably for dogs as well. Taurine can be diminished in food processing and should be supplemented. It exerts a host of benefits for the cardiovascular, ocular, and central nervous systems. It is also an antioxidant and is important in muscular response to exercise. Wysong ingredients processed using Wysong special processing provide an excellent source of taurine. However, as insurance, taurine is also supplemented to the diets.
Tomato Pomace
Tomato skins, pulp, and seeds. It is a source of digestible fiber and lycopene. Contrary to internet lore, tomato pomace is not a cheap filler nor is it toxic in moderation.

Turkey meat sourced from U.S. suppliers. An excellent holistic source of protein, amino acids, and essential fatty acids.

Whey
A dense source of high value dairy protein. Low in carbohydrates and fat. Provides an excellent spectrum of amino acids, and in particular the branched-chain amino acids that encourage muscle development and strength.
Wheat
Wheat is a source of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.  Wheat is easily digestible and provides quick energy.
Wheat Grass
NOT WHEAT GRAIN. Wheat grass contains a wealth of bioavailable nutrients including enzymes, vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids.
Wheat Protein
Wheat protein is derived from whole wheat after most of the carbohydrates have been removed through processing.  It is a high protein source that is easily digestible.
