Limestone in Pet Foods

Limestone is a natural source of calcium from calcium carbonate sourced from sea creatures. Ground limestone is an AAFCO approved ingredient and is safe for use in pet foods. It is an excellent adjunct and diluting source of calcium, since bones may accumulate high levels of heavy metals.
